The Bearwallow Mountain Trail is a moderate, 2-mile round trip that take hikers to the top of Bearwallow Mountain. The grassy bald top of Bearwallow Mountain will offer an unforgettable vista of the mountainous landscape that includes Mt. Mitchell and more!

About the Event
The Local Hiker crew will meet at the trailhead parking lot at 9am and hike to the top of Bearwallow Mountain. The grassy bald top of Bearwallow Mountain will offer a unforgettable vista of the mountainous landscape that includes Mt. Mitchell, Mt. Pisgah, Hickory Nut Gorge, and nearby Hendersonville and Upstate South Carolina.
We will hang out, enjoy some hot drinks and walk back to the trailhead. Once at the trailhead, there are additional hiking trails to explore on your own, if you would like to continue hiking.
The White Squirrel Hiking Challenge features eight hikes on Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy Lands and includes a White Squirrle Hiking Patch and exclusive perks from local businesses that support conservation. More information can be found at www.conservingcarolina.org
