About the Event
Whether your are exploring a local park or preparing for a backcountry adventure, understanding how to read a map is one of the most valuable skills you can develop. this introductory course provides a foundation in traditional land navigation by teaching participants how to interpret topographic maps, understand terrain features, estimate distances and elevation and begin to plan safe and enjoyable trips. This course will be indoors.
